Ok, my lady friends. Here is a trip that you are not going to want to miss! The dates are November 7 – 12, 2013. I have secured the most fantastic apartment, in my favorite part of the city, The Marais. This is one of the rare neighborhoods almost completely untouched by the Haussmann renovations in 19th century, which has protected it’s unique medieval landscape. I will be taking you to one of the most amazing restaurants I’ve been to in the entire world. Completely modern French cuisine, they only serve a tasting menu and is perched in a stunning, magical location close to the Louvre. I had supper at the chef/owner’s apartment in 2010 with my sister, and we can both attest that it very well may have been the best part of our trip. Not only was the food stunning to look at and even better to eat, but they have always offered the best pairings of wine THAT I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE!!! So interesting, so delicious, so memorable.
We’ll shop at the trendiest boutiques, all within arm’s reach of our apartment. We will visit my favorite farmer’s market, who’s offerings always exceed my expectations; crustaceans, fish, meat from every cut and every animal, produce galore and oysters, oysters, oysters. We’ll buy a bunch of stuff and take it back to our pad for an impromptu cooking lesson. With wine. And there is just so much more I can’t wait to show you.
So you probably think this all sounds too fantastic and too expensive. Well, it’s not. This maiden voyage for Menagerie Travel will be $600 per person (based on double occupancy, airfare not included). This is will cover airport transportation, four nights of lodging, continental breakfast every morning, at least one cooking lesson & and one fancy night out to dinner. All other meals and visits will be a la carte. If you need help booking airfare, please let me know. I am a guru at finding the best itinerary for the best deal. I also have insider information to all airlines’ frequent flyer programs on flight availability or upgrades using your miles.
